Marine transport is the circulation system of the global economy, and cannot therefore refrain from investing into safety or new technologies and procedures.
ASAN and Furuno Finland Ltd. have jointly developed advanced solutions, which aid the crew in their work and improve the safety of everyone on board, as well as protecting the cargo. It is essential to develop solutions that are easy to use, help the crew members in their responsibilities, and give assistance to reacting correctly to unforeseen incidents.
The solution developed by ASAN and Furuno Finland Ltd. the diverse maritime systems are integrated to distribute effectively the information provided by the vessel’s systems to the crew needing the information. This is can be done both real time or while debriefing or analyzing a past incident.
One example of the new type of solutions is the ASANTech MS video recording system, which is specifically developed for maritime needs. The system can handle, record and distribute through the ships data network the data produced not only by video cameras, but also by Furuno radars, Conning-systems, and ECDIS navigation systems. ASANTech MS has also integration interfaces to other ship’s systems, like fire alarm or VHF radio systems.
