• ASAN and Swarco to deliver centralized surveillance center software to Q-Park Sweden

    07.06.2011

Q-Park Sweden has chosen ASANTech Universal Video Platform (UVP) as their surveillance center solution platform in Sweden. ASANTech UVP will be delivered by ASAN's partner Swarco Sweden AB. The system is implemented in May this year. At first it will cover Stockholm area and gradually be expanded to cover rest of Sweden. Q-Park Sweden has 35 parking garages with barriers in Sweden all together. Q-Park has earlier utilized ASANTech register plate recognition system integrated to Skidata parking system. Q-Park has centralize the customer service and security functions to a new customer service and monitoring center to which all video surveillance, intercom and parking systems are integrated using IP network and technology. With this solution Q-Park will increase operational efficiency and improve the customer service significantly. ASAN has integrated Commend intercom system, Bosch Videojet and CCTV4U DVR to the system. ASANTech UVP offers one single user interface to operate all parking garages instead of having multiple clients to different CCTV systems or other systems.

Swarco Sweden has delivered the system and installed it to Q-Park service and monitoring center. The ASAN Tech UVP system provides Q-Park with an easy to use and extremely powerful platform for current and future surveillance centre needs. "It enables our district as well as garage managers to browse the recorded video material of all the premises regardless of the type of recorder or camera equipment on site", says Rolle Stavlind, Parking System Manager at Q-Park Sweden." We get live video feeds both to the large wall-mounted monitors in the control room and to the smaller alarm monitors on each operator's workstation. This means that the operators have real time access to all of our sites. The system gives us clear advantages both in terms of customers' sense of security, and in terms of ability to resolve issues. If something happens, it is easy to deliver recorded images about various events e.g. to the police." The ability of the ASAN Tech UVP system to integrate with a wide variety of different systems, and different generations of cameras gives Q-Park significant investment protection. Q-Park is able to migrate into more modern IP-based camera systems where and when feasible, while still using the existing analog cameras. "The possibility to get statistics from the intercom system is another valuable feature", says Rolle Stavlind. The cooperation between Q-Park and Swarco has always worked well. It was therefore natural that we turned to Swarco when it came time to renew the Q-Park video systems. "Swarco has a good understanding of the intercom system which we use; it is a necessity for everything to function smoothly", comments Rolle Stavlind.

"We believe that this type of solutions is the future", says Thony Rysjö, Sales and Solutions at Swarco Sweden. "To get the possibility for just one surveillance platform for different systems and also for other integrated systems are the functionality for the operators in the future. Many other customers have already showed big interest for this solution. Thanks to Q-Park we have now again delivered a turnkey solution with both HW & SW integrated to make Q-park strong and effective."

"We are very happy that Q-Park chose ASANTech UVP as the software platform to their surveillance center. Our technology provides IP based solution with easy to use userinterface and the possibility to integrate other systems like different video recorders and intercom systems. We believe that customers of Q-Park will experience better customer service and Q-Park will save operative expenses", says Jyri Luoma, VP Sales and Marketing at ASAN Security Technologies Ltd.

  • ASAN to launch new NVR product range with support for MPEG-4 and H.264 compression formats

    14.07.2010

ASAN today launched a new version of ASANTech Pro Network Video Recorder software. As IP cameras and especially megapixel cameras will be more popular,
the need for bandwidth capacity has increased substantially and became to a bottle neck in video surveillance systems. To overcome that issue new compression
formats has been developed.  MPEG-4 and H.264 compression standards reduce the bandwidth need for high resolution pictures significantly. ASANTech Pro 4.0 NVR
products have now the support for these compression standards. H.264 compression method reduces the bandwidth up to 80% which enables you to utilize megapixel
camera features in an effective way.

AThere are also other new features in ASANTech Pro 4.0 software such as alarm recording with better picture quality and metadata, e.g. location information,
integration to video. Data security has also been enhanced by encrypting the recordings using PKI method. It means that the viewing of recordings is enabled only
to persons who have the needed security key. Outsiders cannot have the access to recordings. Already easy to use user interface has been modified to improve
    the usability of the system.

“Because the network infrastructure has been a bottle neck for high quality megapixel cameras, we are happy to offer now the solution for this. We believe that
the new ASANTech Pro NVR product range will boost the existing market trend and we can provide our customers latest IP technology, state of the art features and
easy to use systems for different video surveillance needs”, says Jyri Luoma, VP Marketing and Sales. “Our video surveillance solutions are scalable from few camera
systems to systems consisting several thousands of cameras. In addition we are able to integrate third party systems and equipment easily to our systems and offer
    multivendor solutions.”

The deliveries for new ASANTech Pro NVR’s start immediately.

  • ASAN Security Technologies Ltd. has launched new Video Surveillance Center products

    26.05.2009

ASAN Security Technologies Ltd. develops innovative video surveillance systems, and has now launched  a totally new product range to meet the requirements of distributed surveillance. The IP -based video surveillance is taking over the analogue system market rapidly. There is a growing need to monitor several sites in one surveillance center. As a logical continuation to ASAN’s Universal Video Platform launched in March, ASAN is now presenting an enhanced ASC Product range that will replace its earlier ASC 2.0 product.

One of the new features is that the ASC software is capable to support direct cameras on top of the support for ASAN NVRs -cameras are now supported without recording or with recording. This enables e.g. industrial monitoring and control rooms to increase their productivity by using the ASC Direct software installed to their workstations replacing or amending the existing analogue installations. We can offer the right solution to meet a variety of different needs.

The user interface is easy to use, yet offering a versatile configuration. User rights can be given to detailed actions for users and user groups. Actions done by the user are stored in user log files, where actions can be verified. The ASC Workstation, or client, updates are done automatically using WebStart technology, where the ASC Workstation software checks at each start-up from the ASC Server that it is up to date. If not, it will automatically download the update from the server. ASC software also supports the MPEG4 and H.264 video formats.

The ASC product range consists of three products:

ASAN ASC Professional, support for ASAN Pro NVRs

ASAN ASC Direct, support for direct cameras

ASAN ASC Enterprise, support for both direct cameras and ASAN Pro NVRs

Last year we focused to video surveillance center development intensively according to customer feedback. I am pleased to say that we are now ready to bring to the market new products and serve our customers better. We see that the rapid growth of video surveillance and at the same time ongoing technology change from analogue to digital opens new opportunities to utilize video surveillance systems. ASAN is an innovative forerunner in this field and the launch of these new surveillance center products acts as a proof of this, says Antti Laine, CEO of ASAN.
